A SkyWest Embraer 175 sustained nose damage on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, after a sand truck lost control on icy ground at Minot International Airport. The incident occurred at around 8:45am as an airport employee responded to a request to sand the area in front of the aircraft at Gate 2.
Airport officials say the truck hit an icy patch, slid sideways and then rolled backwards into the parked E175. No one was on board at the time and no injuries were reported, but both the aircraft and the sand truck were damaged.
